System requirements
What you need to run Horoptic on macOS and Windows.
Horoptic’s editing canvas uses WebGPU and WebCodecs for GPU-accelerated multitrack playback. The editor is a native desktop app — there is no browser editor. In a browser you get your account (sign in, manage your plan, download the apps).
- macOS — a recent 64-bit macOS on Apple Silicon (M1 or newer). Signed desktop app comes with the beta.
- Windows — a recent 64-bit Windows with a WebGPU-capable GPU. Signed desktop app comes with the beta.
We’re not publishing exact minimum versions yet. They land with the signed desktop beta, alongside the download itself, rather than being guessed at here — so you won’t find out a version claim was wrong after installing. Intel Macs are not covered by the current build — the Mac app is built for Apple Silicon only.
Mobile clients (iPad, iPhone, Android) are on the roadmap, not available yet.
