Getting started & local-first
How the AI Director works The Director is a second operator that edits your timeline by calling the same typed operations your buttons call. Local-first & accounts Manual editing is free, offline, and account-less. You only sign in to reach the cloud. System requirements Horoptic runs on macOS and Windows with a WebGPU-capable GPU. Mobile is on the roadmap.
Credits & billing
Credits & billing Credits are prepaid. Generation is spent at the gate; Director turns are metered per turn. A failed job costs nothing. What generation costs Each model is priced separately, so cheap models stay genuinely cheap. You see the cost before a credit moves. Refunds & failed generations A failed generation costs nothing — the hold is released. Spent credits are prepaid and non-refundable.
Exporting & platform masters
Accounts, sign-in & trust
Accounts, sign-in & recovery Sign in with an email one-time code, then add a passkey — it's required before you can spend credits. Recovery runs through your verified email. Data export & deletion You can export your data and request deletion. The financial ledger is anonymized, not destroyed, where the law requires retention. Content Credentials (C2PA) on export Every master gets a C2PA provenance manifest recording that it contains AI material and listing each source clip by hash. Signing and download are still to come.
